MHT300s power is rated with all 7 channels driven across the whole audio spectrum of 20 to 20kHzK, whereas most AV receiver brands rate with just 2 channels driven. The true power output in most AVRs drops quickly if you drive additional channels which means every time youre watching and listening to a movie.

The MHT300 outputs 120 watts per channel into each of its 7 channels into 8-ohm loudspeakers, and 150 watts per channel into 4-ohm speakers. So its well-suited for even the most power-hungry speaker setup. Unlike many surround receivers, MHT300 has no issue powering 4-ohm loads.
